Helping to Keep Your Studies on Track

All too often, investigative sites fail to schedule patients within the required visit window, or when visits take place, don't have the required tests ready or equipment on hand to perform them. Busy as they are (and often with multiple studies underway at any given time), it's understandable that this happens, but the resulting poor protocol compliance has no less of a negative impact on your particular study.

Visit Planner is an essential tool for sites to both plan for their upcoming visit work load, and to ensure patients are seen when required. With Visit Planner, your sites stay in compliance and thus contribute more useful data to your study.

Visit Planner information is automatically generated by normal study activity - when a patient is enrolled in the system, the Patient Record Management function calculates the protocol required visits and associated date windows for display in the Patient Grid. Visit Planner uses these future visit types and windows to create a report listing this information for all patients at a given site, or, for Sponsor/CRO users, across the entire study.

Research Coordinators (RCs) at a site can then review on a single screen which patients are due at what points in time, as well as the visit type involved - enabling them to schedule any tests or obtain equipment required. It is not uncommon for RCs to print out their Visit Planner report weekly and call patients as a reminder and generally prepare for their upcoming workload. Once a visit for a patient is completed in the normal fashion, Visit Planner automatically updates to display the next required visit for that patient.
